Job Description
General Summary
The Systems Administrator works in a fast-paced production environment, helping LAIKA’s artists leverage a wide array of technology to create animated feature films. As part of the system support team, the System Administrator works collaboratively with technical and production teams to develop and support the studio technology environment.
Job Functions
- Support desktop and mobile devices, peripherals and applications.
- Work with production departments to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities.
- Work with IT ticketing system to service support requests.
- Administer mobile device management software.
- Write documentation and training materials.
- Research new applications and technologies.
- Assist systems engineering team with network and server administration.
- Communicate policies and procedures to end users.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience supporting Linux/Mac/Windows desktops.
- Experience with automation tools such as imaging, configuration management, etc., required.
- Experience with software licenses and license servers, preferred.
- Solid understanding of Unix, networking and hardware fundamentals, required.
Experience with MDMs, such as Intune and JAMF, required.
Experience managing Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online, required.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Ruby, Python), preferred.
- Knowledge of visual effects concepts and applications, preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Well organized with strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., data centers and closets).
- Thrive in a deadline driven environment and remain calm under pressure.
