Company Description:

Haefele Flanagan is a regional mid-sized CPA firm located in Maple Shade, NJ (just outside of Philadelphia). The firm provides audit, accounting, tax, consulting and litigation support services to a diversified clientele throughout the Middle Atlantic States. Haefele Flanagan is a member of the AICPA’s Private Companies Practice Section and the Center for Public Company Audit Firms, the NJ Society of CPAs and the PICPA. The firm is also a member of CPA Associates International with associated offices in principal U.S. and international cities.

Qualifications:

The student would be expected to complete initial assignments with moderate supervision. As the internship experience progresses, the student should be able to perform basic assignments with minimal supervision. Student should have strong desire to pursue a career in Public Accounting. Strong computer skills including Excel are required. Student must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered.

Co-Op Responsibilities:

• The co-op will gain hands-on experience in public accounting by developing technical skills through working as part of a dedicated team carrying out tasks under close coaching and supervision.
• Assist with preparing individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit tax returns to meet government requirements and deadlines
• Develop working knowledge of tax preparation software used at the firm • Perform other accounting duties as assigned to meet client expectations
• Shadow staff, seniors and managers
• Clearly document procedures performed using relevant software

Casual dress code (jeans permitted) with a relaxed working atmosphere. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30-5pm. (Saturdays are optional) Duration is Jan 2024 - June 2024. Pay rate is $20-$25 per hour based on prior experience.
