Technical Advisor - Responsible AI
Responsible AI is responsible for conducting risk assessments, reviews, special projects, and other activities on Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for the enterprise, across all lines of business and functions, to ensure Elevance Health develops and deploys AI technologies consistent with our internal standards, policies, contracts, laws, and regulations. This position is an exciting opportunity to provide valuable insights to the AI business to improve the effectiveness of risk management, monitoring, and governance processes.
Location: This role is part of Elevance Health's hybrid work model. We are hiring associates in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver or Indianapolis.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and execution of high-quality risk assessments of AI solutions.
- Perform reviews of AI solutions, testing for compliance to Elevance Health standards, policies, and regulations.
- Identify risks and collaborate with AI system team leadership and business management on testing and evaluation procedures, which includes working with the AI business on process, controls, documentation, and issues.
- Work with risk management frameworks or in situations that involve assessing, measuring, and mitigating risk for AI solutions.
- Supports the RAI processes including identification and analysis of risks. Coordinates with other risk functions (e.g., Compliance, Information Security, Internal Audit) throughout the organization.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and concise work papers with conclusions.
- Collect sufficient evidence to support work performed.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing work performed.
- Present any issues/deficiencies along with recommendations for remediation.
- Work with AI system teams and business partners to address deficiencies or issues through periodic monitoring and retesting.
- Review work performed by others, provide recommendations for improvement, and training to new or less experienced associates.
- Perform special projects and assignments under direction of department management.
- Work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Assists in the preparation of meeting and presentation materials.
Minimum requirements:
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 6 years experience in audit (information technology, operations or financial),
- Audit and regulatory requirements and standards (PCAOB, CobiT, SAS70, SOX etc.); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years IT compliance/auditing experience
- Experience in digital transformation knowledge and concepts
- Experience with responsible artificial intelligence
- Experience with BOT governance
- Experience with project management and/or process improvement
The Salary range for this position is based on CO ranges: $97,104 - $121,380.
