Your Role and Responsibilities
Do you love language and like to get nerdy about the accuracy of specific words coupled with a curiosity for design thinking and user experiences?

If yes, we are looking for talented content designers to help make a meaningful impact on how our customers use our products. We expect you to have experience in developing technical product content, both inside and outside of the user interface (UI), with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and the user experience.

You would work on a design team that is part of the worldwide design organization for Security - a part of IBM that is collectively responsible for software products focused on helping customers fight cybercrime.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on driving a cohesive end-to-end content experience that moves customers through every phase of their product journey.
• Design, develop, and publish IBM technical content (e.g. embedded in the UI, product tours, messages, product & API documentation, and multimedia, such as videos and onboarding content) that is easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to find.
• Simplify technically complex concepts and details from multiple sources into consumable content that drives user actions.
• Deliver clear, inclusive, accessible, and translated content for a global audience.
• Research and design content based on user scenarios and use cases and conduct user testing/research to validate content.
• Collaborate directly with your design team and developers to build out, update, and modernize our software products.
• Share work in progress, along with giving and receiving critiques

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Can demonstrate high-quality writing and research skills, preferably with experience in a technical domain.
• Proven communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to clarify and understand customer requirements.
• Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to a dynamic, team-based environment.
• Able to be agile with dynamic schedules and priorities.
• Like to solve challenging problems and think of new ways to deliver better content to our customers.
• Portfolio or samples of previous work must be presented.
• An awesome and positive attitude.
