RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Reservoir Engineer group. This position is open to remote locations in the U.S. & Canada only.

Job Description

This role requires expertise in engineering principles, project management, and business practices, for a diverse array of underground energy projects, including reservoir storage, carbon sequestration, geothermal systems, and disposal wells. The primary responsibilities include overseeing project management, monitoring budgets and schedules, and allocating resources to ensure the successful delivery of engineering consulting services. Key activities will encompass front-end engineering, permitting, cost estimation, fieldwork planning and execution, as well as various reservoir engineering analyses and operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of science or master of science degree in petroleum, geological, mechanical, civil, or mining engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 10-20 years of engineering work experience
  • Strong experience in project management, budget / schedule tracking, and staff supervision
  • Fundamental understanding of reservoir engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with wellfield maintenance, testing, and operations
  • Competent understanding and a high standard of health and safety practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
