Join BlueTeam Roofing! We are presently seeking a highly motivated, goal orientated and efficient Technical Sales Coordinator to join our growing team in the Commercial Roofing Division. The Technical Sales Coordinator reports into the Director of Operations and is accountable for sales and technical support for all bid re-roof projects involving project planning, budgeting, estimating, organizing, scheduling, client relationships, and profitability. The tasks involved include, but are not limited to, project roof inspections, take offs, core samples, estimates, submittals, budget development, oversight, scheduling, analysis, pricing labor and materials, vendor management, change order processing, document control, etc.
What you’ll do….
- Provide technical sales support at the regional level to customers (contractors, architects, consultants, and building owners) to achieve pre-determined sales and profit objectives
- Supports the bid re-roofing team with all aspects of the bid process
- Completes roof inspections, take-offs, and core samples as needed
- Provides excellent customer service to all customers requesting bids from BlueTeam
- Sales of BlueTeam roofing systems to meet agreed upon budget and gross margin objectives
- Coordinate with local manufacturer's representatives and suppliers to accomplish sales goals and objectives
- Create and identify new market opportunities
- Establish and manage key customer/owner relationships and activities within territory
- Provide weekly and monthly sales activity reports
- Manage project pricing including general pricing directives
- Bid/proposal specification writing and delivery to customer
- Follow company environmental and safety policies
- Works with Project Manager in collecting all close out documents
- Works with Accounting to close out all financials
- Solely responsible to oversee specification activity through Roofing Consultants, Architects, Engineers, and all other influencing parties
- Responsible for roofing contractor account management to include bid returns, receivables, territory coverage, etc.
- Perform sample literature presentation
- Perform specification writing
- Perform other roofing project needs as they arise, including planning for materials, sub-contractors, permitting, and BlueTeam personnel
- Perform other related duties, project, and assignments as required
What you’ll need…
- Qualifications
- Understanding of the single-ply roofing industry
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding presentation abilities
- Valid driver license in good standing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Use hands and fingers to handle office material including phone/computer, tools or objects, reach with hands and arms,
- Sit, walk, stand, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch
- Ability to travel by car regularly (drive car), occasionally travel by airplane with overnight travel
- Be able to go on roof walks, work in heights
- Adequate vision (depth perception, peripheral vision, close up vision)
- Ability to climb ladders (occasionally) and stairs
- May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at time of roof walks
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (marketing material, samples)
- Education and Experience
- Associate degree, BA/BS Preferred. Minimum of five years of sales or related experience within the roofing industry.
