BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE:

  • EH&S: Functions include setting up, mixing and/or delivering production chemicals used in a manufacturing or process area where the accuracy of chemical composition is important (e.g. wafer, ink toner, media) in process operation.  Works from written and verbal instructions.  Removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.  Performs maintenance and cleaning of production growth tools and accessories.  May profile production tools and clean up chemical spills.
  • Facilities/Equipment: Performs support function to the Facilities/Equipment Maintenance technicians. This work requires physical labor and is often performed outdoors as well as indoors.
  • Job Complexity: Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.  Has some role in decision-making.
  • Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
  • Must be able to complete training and testing required to perform work while utilizing a Full Face Air Purifying Respirator (APR) and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while utilizing proper PPE, including SCBA. (Training provided)
  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions
  • Able to complete in-house training and testing related to general OSHA guidelines and forklift operation.
  • Ability to perform facility equipment operational and preventive maintenance procedures, routine handling, storage, delivery, tracking and disposal of chemicals, gases and hazardous waste.
  • Respond to customer service requests.
  • May conduct routine safety inspections
  • Support production equipment installation.
  • Maintain facility data collection requirements, documents, records and procedures.
  • Identifies non-conformances when they occur and participates in finding the solution to the nonconformance.
  • May participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Deploys the Quality Management System as it applies to the scope of work.
  • Authority to stop any process that threatens the well-being of any SolAero employee.
  • Authority to initiate Corrective Action when a nonconformance is identified and stop the process when a nonconformance is found.
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • HS or equivalent.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
