POSITION SUMMARY

This position is located at BorgWarner's World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.

The Foreign Exchange & Risk Analyst is responsible for managing enterprise-wide risks for BorgWarner's global operations. The role is primarily focused on analyzing enterprise-wide risks, and developing strategies to mitigate these identified risks including foreign exchange, pension management and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies to mitigate risk including currency hedge recommendations
• Work with global operations to develop and collect foreign exchange exposure forecasts, analyze submissions, and consolidate for a global view of foreign exchange risk exposure
• Work with bank counterparties to execute derivative contracts (spot & forward)
• Enforce policies and coordinate with internal and external audit teams to monitor performance of controls, identify gaps in the control framework, and ensure compliance of business practices
• Utilize the Reval treasury management system to track foreign exchange exposures, trades & maintain hedge accounting relationships
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting
• Coordinate monthly global intercompany payment netting process
• Monitor assets & liabilities of pension plans & review effectiveness of 401k benefits
• Maintain & report on enterprise risk (global cross functional coordination)
• Develop process and improvement strategies
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline required
• MBA preferred
• 2+ years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor
• Background and knowledge of accounting, tax, internal controls, and financial analysis
• Software skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Reval treasury management software a plus
