Typescript Engineer (English Speaking)

What you are going to do

As our Typescript Engineer you will get under the hood of our tech applications to ensure our customers enjoy a seamless digital journey, whether they’re creating a new account, checking their savings balance or making transfers. And you can help us create a more tech-driven culture at NN. You will work with technologies and tools like Node.js, React, Typescript, AWS, serverless, GraphQL, and more to create new projects and convert/expand functionality in pre-existing applications.

Who you are

You know how to work in an Agile environment where collaboration, and continuous improvements are the foundations. Additionally you possess:

• 4+ years of experience working in a similar role
• experience with back-end development with one or more server-side programming languages such as Javascript, Go, (Javascript / Typescript on Node.JS preferred), etc
• experience with front-end development (React preferred), Javascript, HTML5 and CSS
• a passion for automating and implementing recurring tasks, testing, and security in CI/CD systems
• a DevOps mindset, knowledge about software architectures and experience building microservices and applications using AWS (e.g. Cloudformation, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) or/and others

Who you will work with

You will become part of our Empowered Product Team “Co-Insurance” (aka Beurs) within Schade Intermediair. The Co-Insurance team is at the very start of their Typescript journey, having mostly built low-code solutions until now. The team is looking for someone that has great experience in Typescript and React to not only built stable solutions but also guide other engineers within the team who are eager to learn more about Typescript. An Empowered Team is given problems to solve and not features to build. By owning and solving open-ended customer and business questions, the team is explicitly trusted and coached by management to be responsible for a digital product's scope beyond technical delivery.
