Undertake data analysis and produce management information. Maintain databases and reporting functions; provides input into business decisions through the data analysis of trends and business opportunities and conduct analysis of business needs requiring technology solutions, map key processes, document business requirements/rules. Provide analytical support and contribute to business projects. Responsible for all associated tasks and activities for strategy, profitability, business planning, performance management, people management etc.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide data analysis and insights to support business planning, including preparation of data to assist preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
•Forecasting and trend analysis
•Continuously seek to improve quality of reports, accuracy of data and data integrity
•Compile regular management reports
•Perform data and portfolio analysis
•Analysis models and automation of processes. Develop and initiate measurable improvements to work processes
•Comply with documentation of key processes and policies to ensure QBE meets all internal reporting requirements as well as regulatory requirements.
•Monitor regional economic developments that could affect business and provide analytical support and compile management reports
•Liaise with the team to identify key metrics and develop enhanced reports or business models to monitor these on a regular basis
•Conduct market research; prepare customer presentations
•Build and maintain strong relationship with key project stakeholders
•Research, collate, obtain and analyze data for decision making/specific processes
•Provide financial analysis and identify issues needing review
•Prepare reports on findings and make recommendations to management
•Proactively maintain and enhance database tools to ensure they are flexible and meet changing business needs and support business planning
•Provide support on systems connectivity and other issues. Develop user requirements, business processes and lead system development projects and testing efforts
•Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice.
•Responsible for all associated tasks and activities for strategy, profitability, business planning, performance management, people management etc.
Preferred Competencies/Skills
• Strong skills in data analysis and reporting
• Advanced Excel skill and other analytical tools
• Effective managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Effective written and verbal communication and influencing skill
• Good problem solving skill
• Ability to organize own work within defines procedures and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently but in a team environment
Preferred Experience
• 3-5 years experience in Business Analyst/Reporting Analyst role
• Exposure to complex analytical project work highly regarded
Preferred Knowledge
• Fundamental knowledge of reporting systems, standards and principles
• Understanding of insurance business processes
