Job Title: Vice President, Application Engineer

Job Duties: Analyze the client and investment management lifecycle, including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, business operational workflows, and overall reporting platforms to design the best solutions. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation, and production support. Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies. Leverage and learn core technologies designed in-house to scale solutions. Own the code and provide production support as needed. Implement and advocate for automated testing strategies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of software applications. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define test plans and ensure thorough testing of software components. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, advising on their relevance and potential integration into existing or new projects. Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and enforce coding standards within the team. Four (4) days in office and one (1) day remote per week.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 72 months of experience as an Associate, Software Engineer, Applications; Associate; Java Developer; Software Developer; Software Engineer; Software Specialist; or a related role. Employer will accept two (2) years of university level study and two (2) years of related work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Requires the following experience: (6) years of experience with: Java; JavaScript; JQuery; REST API; MSSQL; and Unix. Five (5) years of experience with: Python; Typescript; Pandas; Numpy; Matplotlib; Angular; Spring Cloud; Microservices; Spring Boot; Docker; Kubernetes; Apache Kafka; Redis; gRPC; OpenAPI Swagger; JDBC; JPA; Hibernate; Maven; Cypress; Karma; Jest; and CI/CD Pipeline. Three (3) years of experience with: Eclipse collections; Scikit-learn; TensorFlow; Large language models (LLM); Spring MVC; Spring Web; Spring Security; Apache Airflow; Azure ADO; Jenkins; Splunk; Grafana; and OpenShift. Two (2) years of experience with: Dart; Flutter; Material; Bootstrap; Tomcat; and Jboss. One (1) year of experience with: Perl. Must have experience with: Sybase.
