Outcomes You'll Deliver:

• Produced timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and audited annual financials for internal and external presentation
• Within 3 months, developed, documented, and maintained accounting policies and procedures
• Within 3 months, established an automated and fully integrated account payables management system
• Within 6 months, completed monthly financial close process within 5 days of month end
• Within 9 months, produced an automated and fully integrated billing system that provided accurate monthly invoices for each line of business
• Ensured all tax and regulatory filings are completed accurately and timely

Who You Are:

• You have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller, including some involvement with equipment leasing. Mobility, fleet management, charging management, electric vehicles, and energy experience also strongly preferred.
• You have successfully hired, trained, and grown an accounting organization from startup to maturity
• You know lease accounting from both the lessee and lessor perspective
• You have successfully implemented systems to automate the billing, A/R, and A/P processes
• You have successfully managed and coordinated all operational functions, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
• You have overseen tax and regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
• You have managed daily cash and prepared cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
• You are energized and passionate about our mission to contribute to climate solutions by accelerating the transition to EV
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a CPA
• You have domain expertise and experience in one or more of the following sectors: i) fleet management / vehicle leasing or finance, ii) clean energy / renewables /sustainability, iii) asset investment / private credit / project finance. If you have experience in more than one of these domains, even better!
