Job Summary:
The VP of Identity and Access Management will lead the transformation efforts of the identity management program. This role involves developing strategies for digital identity management, implementing IAM solutions, overseeing access controls, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, IAM technologies, and leading large-scale digital transformation projects. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with IT, security teams, and business stakeholders are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IAM strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall security, zero trust security principles and business goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in IAM technologies and practices.
- Program and Policy Development:
- Lead an Identity Management transformation and consolidation effort.
- Design and implement IAM policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to identity and access management.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IAM program, including user lifecycle management, access requests, and identity federation.
- Manage IAM solutions and tools, ensuring their optimal performance and integration with other systems.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Conduct regular assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities in the IAM landscape.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with Technology teams, Product teams and other business units to integrate IAM principles into organizational processes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, explaining complex IAM concepts in understandable terms.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IAM professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors required / Masters strongly preferred; 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in information security, with a significant focus on identity and access management.
- Proven track record of leading IAM initiatives in a large organization.
- Strong understanding of IAM technologies/capabilities (SSO, MFA, identity governance, etc.) and standards (such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML).
- Experience in cloud based IAM concepts, solutions, and architectures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc.).
