JOB SUMMARY:
We're looking for a VP Software Development to join our team. This role is responsible for our client facing technologies, software development, and quality assurance, working in partnership with new business, client service, and project team members across all capabilities. The VP, Software Develop leads a team of full-stack developers and quality assurance analysts, and is responsible for effective communication, documentation, mentorship, estimation, scope, and system administration.
This role reports to the SVP, Product and can be remote or a part of our Chicago or Detroit office.
*While our offices are currently open, daily in-office attendance is not required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and grow multiple teams of product-focused Software engineers and Solutions Architects, deepening their experience in designing cloud native solutions, distributed microservices, and full stack.
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on team.
• Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - Continuously improve software engineering practices.
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
• Periodically representing Fusion92 tech teams in meetings with high-value clients

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree and relevant certifications in technology and/or project management.
• 12+ years' experience with Technology solutions in the following areas: Cloud Infrastructure, Container Platforms & Serverless, high-availability deployment patterns (blue/green, canary, etc.), real-time monitoring and logging in cloud environments
• 10+ years' experience in Software Engineering, Application Architecture or Infrastructure Solution design
• Minimum 5 years' experience in application design, CI/CD, system administration / DevOps (DNS, LAMP, IIS, AWS, Azure, GCloud)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Agile Delivery practice
• Demonstrated conceptual thinking skills, complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.
• Natural networker across teams and with external partners.
• A tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to solving business and technology problems.
• Solid people leadership experience: ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience fostering innovation, driving critical decisions, holding internal resources accountable, and being able to consistently deliver results.
• Knowledge in advertising technologies, SEO, Social and SEM.
• Extra bonus points for previous development and leadership experience in the NFT and DAM spaces.
• Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Influence, drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid technical environment.
• Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
• Previous experience being part of a Technology Leadership team and reporting into SVP/EVP/CIO/CTO.
• Previous experience managing large technology budgets ($5M+)
• Demonstrated experience leading medium to large (20+ FTEs) technology teams that included Cloud & DevOps Engineers.
