Windows Systems Engineer

General Summary
The Windows Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design and operation of the high-performance scale-out infrastructure that powers LAIKA’s feature animation pipeline and business operations. This position specializes in developing enterprise systems infrastructure for Windows based servers and workstations and works collaboratively with artists and technicians to ensure the success of current projects and guides the studio’s technology infrastructure into the future.

Job Functions

• Administer studio Windows server infrastructure.
• Develop and administer Windows software packaging and distribution tools.
• Develop and administer Windows system configuration management tools.
• Develop tools and workflows for zero touch Windows client provisioning.
• Develop tools, workflows and automation for Active Directory.
• Maintain core Microsoft services (Active Directory, AD Connect).
• Work with technical staff and end users to validate and deploy Windows updates.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical production issues as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Windows enterprise systems engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience developing systems automation tools.
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with Azure AD, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Adaxes, preferred.
• Understanding of IT operations and support practices.
• Experience with Mac, iOS and/or Linux administration, preferred.
• Experience with Kanban, Scrum and related methodologies, preferred.
• Well organized with strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., data centers and closets).
• Calm and personable under pressure.

On-Site in Hillsboro, OR (and Hybrid Eligible).

Salary
