As we embark on a new year, the familiar chorus of resolutions echoes through our minds. But how can we make this year truly count? Amidst the noise of goal-setting theories and research, I've found solace in a simpler approach. Inspired by Chris Brogan's innovative method, I've adopted a unique strategy to navigate the twists and turns of my career.
Over the years, I've carefully curated three words that serve as guiding principles for my professional journey. These words have become beacons, illuminating the path forward and helping me stay focused on what truly matters. In the past, my words have included Sensation, Promotion, and Veracious; Connection, Reflection, and Direction; and Persistence, Performance, and Deliver.
As I reflect on the past year, I've come to realize that I've been feeling overwhelmed, like a ship lost at sea. To regain my footing, I sought the wisdom of an intuitive healer, who revealed that the clutter in my home was a manifestation of the many unfinished projects and ideas swirling in my mind. This epiphany sparked a desire to streamline my approach and prioritize my passions.
One area I'm excited to explore is the realm of infographic and visual resumes. A conversation with a colleague ignited a spark within me, and I'm eager to develop my expertise in this field. I thrive on sharing knowledge and best practices with others, and I'm committed to doing more of it in the year ahead.
With these insights in mind, I've chosen three words to anchor my journey in 2025: Clarity, Visual, and Voice. These words represent my desire for simplicity, creativity, and self-expression. They will serve as reminders to stay focused, innovate, and communicate effectively.
I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery. What three words will you choose to define your new year? Will you share them with us, and hold yourself accountable to your goals? Together, let's navigate the twists and turns of our careers, armed with clarity, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose.
