As we embark on a new year, many of us set ambitious goals, only to see them fizzle out within weeks. Why is it so hard to stick to our resolutions? Perhaps it's because we're trying to tackle too much at once. Instead, focus on building small, sustainable habits that can lead to lasting change.

If you're feeling stuck in your career, now is the perfect time to take action. Start by identifying areas where you'd like to improve and create a plan to tackle them one by one. Remember, it's not about making drastic changes overnight, but about making progress, no matter how small.

One approach is to focus on just three key themes for the year. This can help you stay focused and motivated, rather than feeling overwhelmed by a long list of resolutions. For example, my three themes for this year are Connection, Reflection, and Direction. By focusing on these areas, I hope to build stronger relationships, gain clarity on my strengths and weaknesses, and chart a clear path forward for my business.

Another approach is to hold yourself and others accountable to a higher standard. By expecting more from ourselves and those around us, we can achieve greater things and avoid settling for mediocrity.

Whatever your goals may be, the key is to stay committed and keep moving forward, even when the going gets tough. Don't be too hard on yourself if you stumble – simply get back on track and keep pushing forward.
