Summary
About the Position: Serves as a Food Preparation/Server LD Foreman by directing day-to-day accomplishments of work pertaining to mass and quarters operations.
NOTE: The duty location of this position is wherever the Dredge Jadwin is located.
NOTE: This position is a permanent, Full-time seasonal appointment. You will be placed in nonpay status when work is unavailable.

Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment physical is required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Preparation/ Server LD Foreman~ without more than normal supervision. Duties include: 1) Preparing and cooking bulk quantities and individual servings for regular and modified diets. 2) Plan the use of supplies on a meal-to-meal basis and/or 3)Directing all kinds of work in a kitchen crew including Cooking, Food Service Working, Baking, and Meat Cutting - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Incumbent is required to exert moderate to heavy physical effort when handling galley supplies and materials. Incumbent perform work requiring continual standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling, and bending. They frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 18 kilograms (40 pounds) unassisted, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 18 kilograms (40 pounds) with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in the galley where there is constant exposure to above average temperatures and kitchen areas which are well lighted but are often hot and noisy. Exposed to steam, fumes, and odors from cooking and to extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigeration or freezing units. There is danger of slipping on wet floors that have been recently mopped or where food has been spilled on deck. Subject to possible cuts from knives and burns from steam, hot foods, stoves, and hot grease and water in galley

One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
