The primary purpose is to perform the technical work involved in the planning, provisioning, conduct, evaluation, and reporting of open air (OA) installed vehicle (IV), system integration laboratory (SIL, and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) tests of air vehicles.

Obtain and maintain Top Secret Security clearance
This is a designated Drug Testing Position
Obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification or higher within 6 months of hire
Must have knowledge of the methods and techniques of managing information systems, managing computer system resources, developing project schedules, managing customer relations issues,
applying journeyman level troubleshooting techniques, and evaluating computer hardware or software products
Must have knowledge of computer system operations to include hardware and software, such as AF active directory tools and resource administrator tools, and detailed familiarity with the configuration of security permissions for files
folders, and groups to effectively apply the concepts, principles, and techniques of mission planning
Must have the ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other test disciplines
Information Assurance (IA) Certification may be a conditions of employment. This position includes information assurance duties as a paramount occupational requirements.
Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of the position must attained the appropriate I certification within 6 months of assignments of duties. A waiver of this 6 month requirements may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.3.
Failure to achieve the required IA certification may result in reassignment from this position.
This position MAY be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive. Specifics will be discussed with the Selecting Official.
Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes managing information systems, managing computer system resources, developing project schedules, managing customer relations issues, applying journeyman level troubleshooting techniques, and evaluating computer hardware or software products.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of computer system operations to include hardware and software, such as AF active directory tools and resource administrator tools, and detailed familiarity with the configuration of security permissions for files, folders, and groups to effectively apply the concepts, principles, and techniques of mission planning.
2. Knowledge of the basic and journeyman level methods and techniques of managing information systems, managing computer system resources, developing project schedules, managing customer relations issues, applying journeyman level troubleshooting techniques, and evaluating computer hardware or software products.
3. Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other test disciplines.
4. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
5. Ability to maintain good working relations and to provide technical leadership and project management oversight.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of personnel both orally and in writing and to use modern computer software applications in support of communications, presentations, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of flight test programs.
Desired Skills:
3 years experience planning missions for ISR, RPA, tanker, airlift, fighter or bomber aircraft
Familiar and/or proficient with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)
5 years of military aviation experience as a rated pilot, navigator, CSO/EWO, sensor operator or related position
