Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Reclamation Guide. Duty Location: Lower Colorado Basin Region, Lower Colorado Dams Facility Office, Facility Operations Division, Tourism Operations Group located at the Hoover Dam in Clark County, NV. Work schedule will include weekends and holidays. Candidates with no prior Federal experience will have their pay set at the lower salary rate indicated above. Who May Apply: Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) Qualifications GS-06: In order to qualify for the GS-06 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of full-time experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level providing oral presentation of historical, scientific, or program information to groups; or developing or revising technical, historical, or scientific information for oral presentation to groups. If your resume does not clearly reflect the experience listed above, your application will be marked as ineligible. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 12/21/2024. Education GS-06 Substitution of Education for Experience: Six months/9 semester hours of graduate education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled (tourism). If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply. This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience. You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience.
