Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Carpentry, Paint, Masonry, & Insulator Shop. As a Carpenter, you will perform general carpentry work involved in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of the Bureau's buildings as well as cabinet work such as designing, making, and repairing office furniture, equipment, and display cases. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: I have the ability to perform common carpentry tasks. I can build scaffolding by cutting timbers to necessary lengths, assembling, and nailing cross braces to vertical supports, and nailing planks to form platforms and walkways. I make wooden boxes and crates for shipping purposes. I perform such tasks without more than normal supervision. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
