This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired original or certified copies. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: Physical Requirement: Must be able to frequently lift and carry light and medium weight objects such as cartons that weigh up to approximately 30 pounds. Able to frequently walk, bend, stoop and reach. Physical Requirement: Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Lifting often may be from floor level to eye level. WG-03 To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. To be qualifying your experience should demonstrate the following: Able to perform very heavy manual labor including lifting and moving very heavy equipment and supplies through confined spaces. Use weight-handling equipment to move forms, supplies, property, and equipment to and from the warehouse. Possess knowledge and skill in the operation and control of heavy power equipment and know how to work safely with heavy tools. Operation of weight-handling devices such as electric hand trucks, pallet jacks and dollies to move very heavy loads. Prior job experience or on-the-job training is normally required to gain this level of manual skill. Physical Requirement: Able to exert very heavy physical effort in performing such tasks as lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds and operating heavy equipment. Education For positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying for this position by substituting education or training for experience, submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent. A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. Tour of Duty: Day Shift - Start and stop times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Swing Shift - Start and stop times between 2:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. In the event that a building is closed due to rent management, new hires may be placed in a local commuting location. May be required to work holidays and weekends depending on the workload. This is a physical job requiring you to be on your feet for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day, in an environmentally controlled space. You must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs.
