SUPERVISORY IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in management of Information Network standards, systems and networks. AND performing comprehensive information systems security analysis determining risks and vulnerabilities. AND assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of work and capabilities of employee. Additional Information: Program Management Advanced: Selectee must have their Program Management Advanced Certification (or be eligible for certification within 48 months of appointment) in the DAWIA Program Management Functional Area. Acquisition workforce employees must achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66. Obtaining certification within the allotted grace period and maintaining CLPs before and after achieving certification are conditions of employment. If certification is not received within 48 months of appointment as defined by DAWIA, and training not completed within the established guidelines, the incumbent might be removed from this position. Critical Acquisition Position: (Typically only used for the Director of Contract Services position) This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectee must be a member of the DoD Acquisition corps, or eligible for Acquisition corps membership at the time of the appointment in accordance with the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and DoD 5000.52M or have been granted a waiver. Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such an agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to target position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
