Summary
This position is located in the APHIS, Veterinary Services, Field Operation, Logistics Center. The position involves a variety of materials handling duties, preservation, packing, repacking, storage and/or shipment and distribution of a variety of veterinary supplies, equipment and materials in support of United States agriculture.

You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

All USDA employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting, which authorizes government agencies to receive notifications of criminal activity on individuals who hold low risk, public trust, or national security positions.
Often stands on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and bends, stoops, and works in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions.
Lifts and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Work is done inside in a climate-controlled warehouse or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted.
Regular exposure to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock or mechanized work areas.
When working in hazardous material areas, may be subject to exposure from radiation, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes.
Work may require wearing protective clothing such as hardhats, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, and rubber aprons.
Qualifications

To qualify, you must show you have had training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. First time hires to the federal government normally start at the lowest rate of the salary range for the grade selected.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expense associated with reporting for duty will be the responsibility of the selected employee.
