Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4MMAA US ARMY JOINT MUNITIONS COMMAND. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment. (See additional information). Performs 10% temporary duty (TDY). Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing a multi-disciplined Security program with emphasis on Personnel Security, Information Security, and Industrial Security. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Security Personnel Security Security Security Program Management Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13. The SPeD certification is DoD's initiative to professionalize the security workforce by establishing a common set of competencies for security practitioners that promotes interoperability, facilitates professional development and training, and develops a workforce of certified security professionals. This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
