5G mmW - HW Program Manager

Role Summary

Mavenir is looking for a leader with excellent track record to lead a 5G mmWave Radio HW Program. Focus will be on advanced technology and product development together with our customers. We will progress this as a start-up company in Mavenir and leverage the whole organization. As HW Program Manager you will join the Radio Business Unit team and will be responsible for program execution of high-end OpenRAN 5G mmWave HW development for global customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead program planning for Radio HW development
• Drive financial planning including OPEX and CAPEX needs
• Lead day-to-day HW program execution according the plans and targets
• Drive HW verification to secure performance and quality
• Drive state of the art Technology and Design-to-Cost innovation and execution of the Radio HW
• Co-operate with colleagues across Mavenir's HW development Sites in design tools and lab test systems selections and development
• Drive supplier and component selections to secure best in class performance, quality and cost.
• Ensure production build support for the manufacturing partners for proto types and volume ramp-up
• Convert customer requirements and expectations to best in class design innovation
• Execute customer trials and PoC activities jointly with PLM
• Provide guidance and leadership

Job Requirements

• Proven program or project leadership track record from complex 4G and 5G radio HW projects
• Solid knowledge on radio systems and mobile networks, especially on 3GPP and FCC LTE 4G and 5G standards in RAN and the interface between radio network and core network.
• In-depth knowledge on RF, SoC and electromechanical technologies and technology trends
• Solid knowledge on design tools and test systems
• Solid knowledge on reliability analysis and testing
• Deep knowledge on RF, digital and mechanical design and verification
• Solid knowledge on electronics, PWB and mechanical components supplier base and supply chain
• Solid knowledge on cost efficient manufacturing methodologies and technologies
• Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills
• Curious minded person striving for continuos learning and innovation
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executives, partners, and customers
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts
• MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 6+ years of leadership experience in managing 20+ team members. Leadership experience managing people acoss multiple countiries is an added advantage.
• At least 10+ years' experience in telecommunication industry in leading of or working in Radio development roles
