Summary

Employee is required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; new hire must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

May requiring driving a motorized vehicle around the missile complex.
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Engineering and Technical Management "Practitioner" certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking Multi-Disciplinary Engineers in the skill areas listed below towork at Hill Air Force Base near Layton, Utah.
Occupational Series 0830 - MECHANICAL ENGINEER: Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree.
Occupational Series 0855 - ELECTRONICS ENGINEER: Typically, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree.
Occupational Series 0861 - AEROSPACE ENGINEER: Aerospace Engineering degree.
Occupational Series 0806 - MATERIALS ENGINEER: Materials Engineering degree.
Occupational Series 0810 - CIVIL ENGINEER: Civil Engineering degree.
Occupational Series 0801 - SYSTEMS ENGINEER: Industrial & Systems or Aerospace & Systems Engineering degrees.
NOTE: The AFNWC has interdisciplinary teams and therefore seeks top talent from multiple engineering disciplines. The term "General Engineer" and the federal occupational series "0801 General Engineering" are used when more than one engineering discipline is suitable, or when no specific federal occupational series exists.
