The primary purpose of this position is to ?????serve as the principal executive assistant performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the Wing Commander, Senior Leadership Team and their staff. Organizational location of position is: Air Combat Command (ACC), 16th Air Force (AF), 688th Cyberspace Wing (CW), Office of the Commander (CC), JBSA, Lackland AFB, TX. Must Obtain/Maintain Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. Employee may be required to accomplish work outside of normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays, on an infrequence basis. Qualifications This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the duties, priorities, commitments, policies, and program goals of 688 CW sufficient to perform non-routine assignments, such as independently noting and following-up commitments made at meetings; locating and summarizing information from files and documents that requires recognizing which information is, or is not, relevant to the problem at hand. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. : KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of extensive rules, procedures, or operations applied to secretarial and clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, locating, assembling and composing information for various reports, inquiries, and nontechnical correspondence. 2. Knowledge of office functions and commitments of supervisor and staff to prepare and review correspondence, to screen telephone calls and visitors, to maintain supervisor's calendar, and to perform other substantive or administrative work of the organization. 3. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports. 4. Knowledge of word processing automation software functions to support office operations and produce a variety of textual documents such as letters, reports, memos, and form letters. 5. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of and experience with the concepts, principles, and practices of protocol, military ceremonies, traditions, customs and courtesies, both national and international, USCC, MAJCOM and Wing level, as well as flight line protocol. Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, precedents, local guidelines and local organizations which affect the protocol program and related support; and knowledge of world political situations; US and foreign military rank structure, political configuration, and order of precedence PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
