Staff Accountant

What you’ll do:

· Produce accurate and timely financial records prepared in accordance with US GAAP

· Month End including Accruals, Journal Entries, Reconciliations, and Variance Analysis

· Standard Costs and Actual Cost Allocations

· Sales Commissions and other Incentives

· Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Budgets and Forecasts

· Support and successfully pass all internal and external audit requirements.

· Collaborate closely with Finance, Shared services AR, AP, and Payroll to support company growth. Ensure AP, AR, and Payroll services are performed timely and accurately.

· Provide support to the corporate tax department to meet quarterly and annual requirements.

· Provide all necessary reporting to the CFO and the Executive Leadership Team weekly, monthly, and on an ad-hoc basis.

· Have a process improvement mindset and work proactively to ensure that the company continues to scale efficiently.

· Serve as an accounting partner to the rest of the organization to enable responsible growth. Your leader in this role will be the Vice President, Finance for CARR Biosystems.

Education and Experience most likely to have prepared you for this role:

· A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; MBA or MAcc is a plus.

· 5-7+ years of relevant experience required.

· Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

· Ability to mine data from ERP systems, MAPICS/XA experience is a plus.

· Expertise in consolidation and reporting software, OneStream experience is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Working knowledge of general accounting principles and processes.

· Experience in manufacturing environments with exposure to operational and cost accounting is preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team with all levels of Leadership, including Company Leaders, business leaders, and across the various corporate functions and Division teams to provide relevant, insightful information.

· Strong communicator (verbal/written) that presents complex material in a concise, compelling, and positive way.

· Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.

ADA Requirements:

· Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.

· Stand, walk, bend, reach, or move about regularly.

· Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.

· Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.

Additional Job Description

· Keeps records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities.

· Prepare reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position.

· Review of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

· May oversee a segment of the accounting function.

· Coordinates accounting matters with other departments.

· May coach, lead or mentor less experienced staff; may act as a lead.
