ROLE SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for assisting in the management of accounts receivable in all areas, including but not limited to invoices, payments, open balance communications, audits, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain documentation for customer accounts in compliance with policies.
• Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to contract terms.
• Generate invoices, account statements, overdue account notices.
• Contact delinquent customer accounts to facilitate collections as needed.
• Apply lock box, check, ACH and credit card payments against open invoices.
• Prepare aged receivables reports and conduct collections communications and shipping holds.
• Convey requests for account adjustments to Accounting Dept or to Director of Sales.
• Collect and provide information for insurance or IRS audits.
• Provide documentation to our Accounting Firm for year-end taxes and compilation.
• Interface with Controller/Supervisor on account credit limits.
• Interface with sales staff on collections, credit limits and account history.
• Foster and/or maintain good corporate relationships with external partners.
• Download and process daily orders (Amazon)
• Export sales expense data and report to Accounting Dept
• Interface with Shipping Dept and Customer Service on order transactions

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience with accounts receivable in a retail-wholesale/distribution environment, including work with EDI systems interface.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel with ability to import data and produce extensive spreadsheets.
• 2+ years of Accounting software experience in retail or wholesale environment. NetSuite experience preferred.
• Professional communication skills and ability to work with wholesale customer accounts payable representatives.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented. Must be able to work with little direction in a small-medium size business environment.

POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time hourly position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a hybrid position, working in our HQ office located in Marina Del Rey Tuesday-Thursday every other week.

SALARY:
$30-$35 per hour depending on experience + Bonus
