Are you a quality-driven engineer with a passion for new product introductions and innovative manufacturing? Join our team as an Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) to lead quality initiatives and drive the successful launch of new products that set the standard in manufacturing excellence. This role supports GE Appliances' Home Laundry division, based in Louisville, KY, with travel opportunities to support various sites.

How You'll Create Possibilities
As an Advanced Quality Engineer, you will:
- Own Quality for New Products: Lead quality initiatives for new part designs and New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring the factory is set up for long-term success.
- Independently Manage Projects: Oversee entire projects within your area, focusing on quality systems for NPI, with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to meet high standards for quality and product sustainability.
- Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze and interpret data to inform quality initiatives and process improvements that reduce Cost of Quality (COQ) metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- NPI Program Support: Lead the qualification and integration of new equipment, oversee equipment supplier visits, and coordinate production planning.
- Gage Development & Dimensional Analysis: Manage gaging processes, lead dimensional analysis meetings, and ensure alignment across teams on measurement results.
- Quality System Integration: Use GE’s 9-step process to incorporate quality at the design stage, ensuring robust traceability and process sustainability.
- Equipment & Process Leadership: Oversee PFMEA processes, support quality manufacturing systems, and balance communication between product design and manufacturing.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas to enhance COQ metrics, streamline processes, and maintain ISO standards in documentation.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Engineering
- Leadership Experience: Skilled in project management and cross-functional communication.
- Data-Driven & Analytical: A strong decision-maker who interprets data to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Self-Starter: Proactive, with a drive to find sustainable, long-term solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Lean Process Improvements, Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
- Skilled in CMM/3D Scanning and Metrology Systems, GD&T drawings, and Minitab.
