About the role:

Employee Relations Advisors (ER Advisor) are responsible for providing coaching and guidance to managers and coworkers to assist the organization in effectively managing human capital. The Employee Relations Center (ERC) supports a wide variety of areas including questions regarding employee relations, policy interpretation, disciplinary actions and investigations. ER Advisors drive consistent practices with respect to disciplinary actions across the organization and provide information and guidance regarding company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

What you'll do:

  • Manages incoming requests (email and phone queue)

  • Responsible for prompt and effective resolution of employee relations concerns.

  • Manages multiple cases at varying levels of complexity.

  • Accurately tracks, documents, and manages cases in the ER case management system daily.

  • Provide counsel and guidance to all levels of leaders and coworkers to effectively resolve cases.

  • Ensures that all associate matters are handled with consistency, fairness and in alignment with TD SYNNEX Core Values

  • Identifies trends and proactively collaborates with HR COEs in developing an appropriate course of action.

  • Facilitates HR related training that impacts associates, managers and/or business.

  • Contributes to specific projects as determined in the HR planning process and participates in functional and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Investigates and documents complex coworker complaints and disputes including claims of violation of Human Rights, Employment Equity Act, Canada Labour Code and Rights of foreign workers.

  • Identifies appropriate investigatory process, interviewees and executes timely fact finding.

  • Creates comprehensive investigative reports, memos.

  • Works with legal counsel on lawsuit discovery and litigation preparation

  • Meet with Executives to review findings and determine disciplinary action / next steps.

  • Prepares documents for review by ER Sr. Director, Ethics & Compliance and Legal; and implements disciplinary action and/or recommends resolution

  • Ensures proper documentation of inquiries, root cause, and resolutions.

  • Gathers data and assists with litigation charge responses.

  • Partners with the Benefits department on unapproved leave of absence.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years in HR employee relations.
  • CPHR or CHRP certifications preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and fair practices.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of people issues.
  • Proficient in coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, and consulting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong research, data collection, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple issues concurrently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Experience with leave of absence and interactive dialogue processes.
  • Experience in a centralized employee relations team is a plus.
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Proficient in English and other local/regional languages.
  • Presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work under pressure.
  • Maintain ethical standards and build effective relationships.

  • GĂ©rer plusieurs cas de niveaux de complexitĂ© variĂ©s.
  • Suivre, documenter et gĂ©rer avec prĂ©cision les cas dans le système de gestion des cas ER quotidiennement.
  • Fournir des conseils et des orientations Ă  tous les niveaux de dirigeants et de collègues pour rĂ©soudre efficacement les cas.
  • Veiller Ă  ce que toutes les questions relatives aux associĂ©s soient traitĂ©es avec cohĂ©rence, Ă©quitĂ© et en alignement avec les valeurs fondamentales de TD SYNNEX.
  • Identifier les tendances et collaborer de manière proactive avec les COE RH pour dĂ©velopper une action appropriĂ©e.
  • Faciliter les formations liĂ©es aux RH qui impactent les associĂ©s, les gestionnaires et/ou les entreprises.
  • Contribuer Ă  des projets spĂ©cifiques dĂ©terminĂ©s dans le processus de planification RH et participer Ă  des initiatives fonctionnelles et interfonctionnelles.
  • EnquĂŞter et documenter les plaintes et les diffĂ©rends complexes des collègues, y compris les allĂ©gations de violation des droits de la personne, de la Loi sur l’équitĂ© en matière d’emploi, du Code canadien du travail et des droits des travailleurs Ă©trangers.
  • Identifier le processus d’enquĂŞte appropriĂ©, les personnes Ă  interviewer et exĂ©cuter la recherche de faits en temps opportun.
  • CrĂ©er des rapports d’enquĂŞte complets, des mĂ©mos.
  • Travailler avec les conseillers juridiques sur la dĂ©couverte de poursuites et la prĂ©paration des litiges.
  • Rencontrer les dirigeants pour examiner les conclusions et dĂ©terminer les mesures disciplinaires / prochaines Ă©tapes.
  • PrĂ©parer des documents pour examen par le directeur principal ER, l’éthique et la conformitĂ© et le service juridique; et mettre en Ĺ“uvre des mesures disciplinaires et/ou recommander une rĂ©solution.
  • Veiller Ă  la documentation appropriĂ©e des demandes, des causes profondes et des rĂ©solutions.
  • Recueillir des donnĂ©es et aider Ă  la rĂ©ponse aux accusations de litige.
  • Collaborer avec le dĂ©partement des avantages sociaux sur les congĂ©s non approuvĂ©s.

Ce que nous recherchons:

  • Plus de 5 ans d’expĂ©rience directe en relations avec les employĂ©s dans un rĂ´le RH.
  • Les certifications CPHR ou CHRP sont un atout.
