The Communications team tells the story of how DoorDash empowers local economies by connecting customers to the best of their communities. The team is a collaborative group with important partners, touching every corner of the organization. A role on this team will require experience in media relations, policy communications and issues management.

About the Role

DoorDash is seeking an Associate, Dasher Experience Communications to help craft and execute campaigns highlighting how people can earn what they want, on their own terms, through our platform. Reporting to the Director of Trust & Dasher Experience Communications, you'll manage media relations, work closely with internal teams to support new product and policy launches, and build DoorDash's reputation as the leading choice for flexible work.

• Help craft and execute proactive campaigns to position DoorDash as the best platform for flexible work, leveraging case studies, data insights, product innovations, and policy updates.
• Help manage the response to media inquiries about Dashers, the Dasher app, and the overall experience of dashing.
• Work closely with teams across the company - including Marketing, Policy, Trust & Safety, Legal, Product, and Strategy & Operations - to further enhance the Dasher experience.
• Monitor social and traditional media to identify emerging trends and topics about flexible work, including the Dasher experience.

• You have 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or public affairs.
• You have experience in crafting and executing proactive communications strategies that reach diverse audiences across multiple channels.
• You enjoy fast-paced, dynamic environments and are ideally familiar or interested in technology-related issues.
• You are a strong writer, able to simplify complex issues into clear, compelling messages.
• You collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
• You are self-motivated with excellent project management and people skills, able to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks under tight deadlines.
• You take your work, but not yourself, seriously-and maintain a good sense of humor about both.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
