Job Description
Job Summary:
• Proactively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Develop and maintain dependable working relations with internal and external partners and clients.
• Promote total quality awareness by understanding and supporting quality initiatives and drive associate performance to obtain company standards.
• Coordinate and direct the efforts of unit members to fulfill responsibilities, objectives, and the overall effectiveness of the unit:
o Ensure all agency procedures are followed;
o Utilize unit members' strengths and help them improve weaknesses;
o Foster communication and promote teamwork
o Prepare and deliver timely performance appraisals for those associates directly supervised; comply with the Lockton Performance Improvement proce
• Direct and monitor activities and programs for associate training, development, and career growth.
• Participate in the recruitment of unit associates and assist in the interviewing and hiring process. Coordinate the orientation of new unit associates and determine areas of training needed to assist new associates acclimate to the Lockton culture and develop needed skills for their position.
• Document requirement, create mock-ups, prototypes, ad-hoc SQL queries, and other artifacts to support requirements.
• Execute testing needed to assure the desired functionality and data integrity of BI solutions and meet business requirements and deadlines.
• Provide on-going analytical support for BI solutions released to the business.
• Proactively identify data quality issues and recommend data integrity checks to alert users when such issues occur.
• Innovate, using the latest technology, or deliver information needed to drive business decisions.
• Proactively assist in communicating to users with respect to BI software upgrades and new features released by BI.
• Proactively share knowledge with co-workers and ensure appropriate knowledge transfer to cover duties as needed.
• Participate in the annual budget process by planning for upcoming unit expenditures.
• Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer.
• Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment.
• Make decisions in compliance with established Lockton standards of quality performance and service.
• Understand when to proceed alone and when to involve others.
• Interface with top management of other businesses, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
• Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.
• Comply with Lockton procedures and policies.
• Accumulate required continuing education credits to maintain current insurance license.
• Attend company and department meetings, position-related seminars/classes, carrier functions, and social events as required.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence Analysis role with hands-on continuous work experience in using Microsoft SQL Server, and Business Intelligence tools to support user
• reporting needs.
• Two or more years of experience managing people
• Strong analytical and research skill
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source system data and data samples).
• Able to read and write SQL query statements.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft's Power BI Suite (Power BI, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, DAX)
• Professional experience in successfully supporting users' reporting and data needs.
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information
• Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner
• Insurance experience preferred, but not required
• Work outside of regular business hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United State
