Job Description
The Associate, ESG at Invitation Homes will support and develop comprehensive sustainability and ESG management strategy aligned with the corporate goals, ESG ratings and standards and objectives. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
What You'll Do
- Analyze market trends, industry regulations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for sustainability, cost savings, and optimization in ESG management
- Provide environmental and social impact data to support the production of the company's sustainability report and other ESG disclosures including GRESB, ISS, GRI, and TCFD
- Engage and support company leaders in Energy, Accounting, Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement, and Investments to drive strategic initiatives related to sustainability and ESG
- Collaborate with the ESG Taskforce to identify and implement innovative solutions for sustainability reporting, ratings and program implementation
- Collaborate with Communications Team to help develop ESG communications and maintain the company's sustainability website
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including service providers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations
- Support the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on ESG management performance, helping to identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support to market teams in navigating sustainability challenges and implementing best practices
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, and ESG reporting
- Support the development and execution of new sustainability initiatives, ESG progress and reporting
- Respond to ESG and sustainability questionnaires from engaged stakeholders
- Engage with partners including corporate landlords, suppliers, charities and employees, and support addressing stakeholder inquiries
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, engineering, program management, or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
- 0 - 3 years of experience in an ESG-related capacity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with sustainable practices, ESG reporting frameworks, and knowledge of emerging ESG trends and technologies is a plus
- Ability to stay updated on changing regulations, market dynamics, and advancements in sustainability and ESG
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting
- Can effectively work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Desire to work for a sustainable future

Salary Range
$71,925.00 - $124,670.00Compensation and Benefits
