Job Description

• As the Associate, Card Scheme Mandates, you will work in ensuring that bulletins from card schemes(Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, JCB, Discover, Diners, Carte Bancaire, Fiserv) are reviewed and disseminated to Product and Operation teams.
• Working closely with the Director, Scheme Relationships, you will need to ensure that mandates are adhered to and making sure the Product, Engineering and Operations teams are driving their prioritization of mandates as part of their roadmap of changes. 
• You’ll maintain knowledge of all products and services which are offered by the card schemes.
• You’ll also manage the administration of new user requests to the card scheme portals and ensure that the right accesses and services are set up in accordance with procedures that are already in place
• You will ensure that any mandatory bulletins are discussed in the respective forums to assess impacts, logging minutes and actions and tracking changes to delivery.

About You
​The ideal candidate must be experienced and well respected, with an affinity for problem solving, eager to ensure that our ability to achieve compliance with card scheme mandates and supports Checkout’s growth and ambitions.  

How you’ll make an impact

• You'll be learning on the processes of disseminating card scheme bulletin mandates and tracking to delivery
• You’ll take ownership of managing any queries received through emails and internal ticketing systems to ensure that answers are provided in a timely manner.
• You'll be a passionate advocate for our merchant-centric approach, by driving engagement with internal stakeholders such as Products and Operations teams
• You'll join an ambitious team of partnerships professionals who are working to significantly move the needle within an area that has high strategic importance to Checkout

What we’re looking for

• 2+years’ experience in the Payments space
• 2+ years’ experience in managing card scheme mandate compliance (technical, operational)
• You think from the customer perspective, and are always vigilant of the desired experience
• Excellent administration and coordination skills
• Excellent I.T. skills (Microsoft Office, Google Docs etc)
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Proficient in English (additional fluency in French is a plus).
• Skilled at working collaboratively and effectively communicating across various departments.
