We're seeking an Associate Technical Designer who will be at the forefront of helping shape the ever-evolving world of Diablo IV, providing vital technical and creative support to our team. Your mission? To ensure the smooth creation of clean and high-performant content, championing workflow improvements and collaborating across disciplines to tackle even the most formidable challenges.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY or Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong collaborative relationships across all departments, promoting teamwork and shared goals.
• Champion efforts to improve workflows, driving efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with engineering teams to refine workflows and tool changes.
• Diagnose Debug and resolve content issues promptly and effectively.
• Contribute to content creation and gameplay system design.
• Provide technical support to designers, aiding in problem-solving and implementation challenges.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years' experience in an area of design (levels, systems, encounters, UI, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in pipeline development and process enhancement.
• Skilled in scripting or programming game content.
• Extensive understanding of design workflows across multiple game editors.
• Capable of crafting comprehensive design documents for tools and game systems.

Pluses:

• Experience creating content for online multiplayer RPG games.
• Previous design experience for ARPG / Open World / Multiplayer games
• Authoring game content using the Lua scripting language.
• Specific knowledge of the dark fantasy world of the Diablo franchise

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 - $44.47 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
