This role is designed to oversee the design, development and implementation of information technology solutions, tailored to the needs of a rapidly expanding health system. In this capacity, the AVP of Information Services provides the direction for maintainance and development of programming applications, database management, network systems, telecommunications and data processing. Additionally, this job assumes responsibility for the planning, monitoring and management of internal IS projects. In this capacity it secures the requried resources to complete complex IS projects while managing their resources, budgets, risks and changes.

This job is responsible for all aspects of information technology management and control, including supervision of information technology employees; budget preparation and management; recommendations for technical acquisitions; and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. Is charged with strategic planning, tactical action, and operational decision-making to fulfill the mission of the Information Technology Services department.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or Technology related field.

Preferred - Master's or Advanced Degree in a technology field.

Work Experience

Required - 10 years related IT experience

Preferred- Experience in the Healthcare Industry

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
