About the Back Office Operations Team:

We’re accountable for all functions within the Back Office Operations group; we’re here to support and protect our customers while actively improving processes end to end. This includes but is not limited to Account Closures, Charge Offs, Unclaimed Property, Mailroom Operations, Garnishments / Levies, Third Party Verification, Privacy, Tax Operations, Qualifying Direct Deposit, etc.Â

We’re designing a best in class servicing strategy that fits the lifestyle of our target customers. Come and help us bring that strategy to life! The Back Office Operations team is focused on executing and improving our current processes, adhering to regulatory requirements and with high attention to detail and timeliness. Each analyst is encouraged to keep an eye out for holistic improvement opportunities within our processes and across the entire organization. This role requires self-management, focus, and critical thinking. We need to always ask why we’re doing things the way we are - that is where improvement opportunities may lie.
What you will do:
- Execute and manage assigned Back Office caseload with a high attention to minute details, while maintaining quality and timeliness
- Be willing and available to come into the Draper office for a few hours each day (cadence may fluctuate) to retrieve mail from the Post Office, open, sort, and scan mail to different areas of Varo, handle secure documents, and other various mailroom duties
- Work directly with government agencies, law enforcement, and other third parties to execute requests and assist in resolving problem accounts/escalations, while evaluating processes for continuous improvement to enhance productivity and quality
- Provide superior customer service to both internal as well as external customers and partners
- Follow Varo procedures to comply with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to: The Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC, Regulation DD, Regulation Z, Regulation E, and other regulations as it relates to the position

- Analytical and strategic critical thinking, with the ability to recognize and call out transformative opportunities for business processes via automation and data-driven decisions
- Availability to work in the Salt Lake City office up to 5 days a week
