Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) FMS will have responsibility for developing new customer business within their assigned sales territory. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to educate and develop the prospects' value perception of Ryder's services by using the Ryder Sales Process. This is accomplished by developing sales plans, analyzing profitability of prospects and fully understanding the competitive influences and risks with each account.
 

Essential Functions

Develop pre-sales strategy for the target accounts. Develop a sales activity pipeline sufficient to meet and exceed required quota revenues. Respond pro-actively to leads furnished. Represent full spectrum of Ryder services. Work with ARs and CDMs to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities as required. Work with National Sales to develop and/or assist in generating sales opportunities within assigned territory. Ensure that new customer orientation is completed. Work with DSDs to develop DCC opportunities.

Identify prospect needs/requirements and value components through quality needs assessment and value-based proposal preparation. Develop account selling strategies on a continual basis to improve effectiveness. Familiarize GMs & CDMs with sales in progress and their potential impact on their areas of responsibility. Contribute to an effective transition of accounts sold. Administrative functions necessary to support account.

Report sales activity to management. Sales protocol and SOM compliance activities. Create supportive working relationships with CBUs. Leverage all resources to expand new opportunities, i.e., MDS, Safety, Finance, etc. Develop account profile information on all prospect solicitations.

Training and improvement of sales skills, industry knowledge and personal growth needs

Bachelor's degree required in Business and/or Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.

Five (5) years or more demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities required.

Good understanding of Ryder's product offerings. Represent the full spectrum of Ryder's services to new and potential customers advanced preferred.

Ability to interpret financial data advanced required.

Le Directeur du développement des affaires (DDA) SGF sera responsable du développement des affaires des nouveaux clients dans le territoire de vente qui lui est attribué. Il incombe au titulaire de sensibiliser et de développer la perception de valeur des clients potentiels sur les services de Ryder en utilisant le processus de vente de Ryder. Pour ce faire, il faut élaborer des plans de vente, analyser la rentabilité des clients potentiels et bien comprendre les influences et les risques concurrentiels de chaque compte.
Responsabilités:

  • Élaborer une stratĂ©gie de prĂ©vente pour les comptes cibles. DĂ©velopper un pipeline d’activitĂ©s de vente suffisant pour atteindre et dĂ©passer les revenus de quota requis. RĂ©pondre de façon proactive aux pistes

  • de vente fournies. ReprĂ©senter l’ensemble des services de Ryder. Collaborer avec les CC [Responsables des comptes client] et les DDC [Directeur du dĂ©veloppement de la clientèle] pour faire la transition des

    comptes et accroître les occasions de vente, au besoin. Travailler avec l’équipe Ventes nationales pour développer ou aider à générer des occasions de vente dans le territoire attribué.

  • S’assurer que la nouvelle orientation client est terminĂ©e. Collaborer avec les DSD pour dĂ©velopper les occasions de DCC [Dedicated Contract Carriage (Contrat de transport spĂ©cialisĂ©)]

  • Identifier les besoins/exigences des clients potentiels et les composantes de valeur par l’évaluation des besoins en matière de qualitĂ© et la prĂ©paration de propositions fondĂ©es sur la valeur. Élaborer des

  • stratĂ©gies de vente au compte sur une base continue pour amĂ©liorer l’efficacitĂ©. Familiarisez les GM et les DDC avec les ventes en cours et leur impact potentiel sur leurs domaines de responsabilitĂ©. Contribuer

    à une transition efficace des comptes vendus. Fonctions administratives nécessaires pour soutenir le compte.

  • Signaler les activitĂ©s de vente Ă  la direction. Protocole de vente et activitĂ©s de conformitĂ© SOM. CrĂ©er des relations de travail de soutien avec les UEP. Tirer parti de toutes les ressources pour Ă©largir de

  • nouvelles occasions, c.-Ă -d., MDS, SĂ©curitĂ©, Finances, etc. Élaborer des renseignements sur le profil du compte pour toutes les sollicitations de clients potentiels.

  • Formation et amĂ©lioration des compĂ©tences en vente, des connaissances de l’industrie et des besoins de croissance personnelle


Études:

  • BaccalaurĂ©at en administration des affaires ou en finance et comptabilitĂ© ou expĂ©rience Ă©quivalente, obligatoire.


Expérience:

  • Cinq (5) ans ou plus excellence des ventes (rĂ©alisation du devis) dĂ©montrĂ©e dans les responsabilitĂ©s de vente antĂ©rieures,, obligatoire.


Compétences et habiletés:

  • Solides aptitudes pour la communication verbale et Ă©crite, obligatoire.
