Zions Bancorporation has an opportunity for a Cloud Engineer with cloud computing solutions and network experience and eager to work with various technologies to join the Digital Strategy Project team that works on projects to expand our digital presence through cutting edge technologies. As a cloud engineer you will be responsible for designing, administering, integrating, and securing the cloud solutions which deliver our digital and mobile experiences to our users.

This individual will:

• Create and maintain architectural diagrams, procedural documentation, etc.
• Development and management of security and governance processes to ensure that cloud deployments are secure while following industry best practices.
• Establish reusable patterns to be used to facilitate standards, automation, efficiency, etc.
• Research, analyze and recommend technology features, functionality, and development solutions for our digital platform.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and methodologies.
• Build and participate in SDLC and Deployment activities.
• Document infrastructure code, scripts, etc.
• Support and administer other technologies which are part of the cloud delivery ecosystem.
• Collaborate with management, peers, and third-parties for high quality and efficient approaches.
• Collaborate with management, peers, and third-party partners to build and support robust, scalable, and modern solutions.
• Administer a modern, resilient cloud computing foundation which is safe and sound.
• Administer and understand network, storage, security, and computing solutions in the cloud. (e.g., containerization/virtualization, site reliability, etc)
• Stay current on industry and development latest trends and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Public Cloud Platform (preferably Azure).
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, Network, and Security practices.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Python.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of common architecture patterns.

The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to effectively participate with cross-functional teams in collaborative design and administration activities dealing with complex technologies, applications, and challenges. You will be detail oriented, focused on delivering high quality deliverables, have a passion for the field of software development, and possess customer empathy with a drive to create outstanding customer experiences and improved solutions.

This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will consider candidates in the area, able to relocate to the area, or working remotely but willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City.
