Contracts Manager

My client is a mid-size government contractor headquartered in the DC metro area, looking to add a Contracts Manager to their team! The Contracts Manager will manage the formulation of contracts policies, procedures, methods, operating practicing and performance standards for assigned program or business unit.

Responsibilities to include:

• Manages the proper coordination of various types of agreements, subcontracts and other contract/legal documents with accounting, legal, program management and other organizations as necessary.

• Develops cost proposals to address request for proposal (RFP) requirements and approved cost strategies in accordance with cost estimating system requirements, company policies, and government regulations.

• Evaluates conformance of policies, practices and standards to meet business objectives in compliance with company policy, law and regulation.

• Advises and guides Contract department in export and control and licensing matters to ensure the upper management is kept fully aware of company's compliance.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you should ideally have at least 7 (seven) years of cradle to grave contracts experience. You should also have thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
