Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is a startup inside Magna International, a mobility technology company and one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. We are excited to be developing some of the most innovative solutions in sustainability and autonomy, the future of mobility! Our New Mobility Software Platform team is currently seeking a Customer Solution Engineer. This role will be Hybrid (3 days per week) in our Troy, Michigan office. #LI-Hybrid
Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for implementing in-vehicle over the air (OTA) update and diagnostics application software running on the target platforms for various domains like SAE Level 2, 3 automated driving features, In-vehicle telematics.
• The primary duties will include technically leading distributed teams towards implementing OTA and Diagnostics application components, vehicle to cloud connectivity, configuring and integrating open-source or third-party software, applying cybersecurity and functional safety principles.
• Debugging and troubleshooting embedded software on target hardware.
• Lead the technical discussions and communicate with all stakeholders effectively, including application software developers, vehicle integration and validation engineering organizations.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field
• A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in embedded software design and development preferably in automotive applications
• Experience integrating third party solutions such as Red Bend OTA orchestrator/primary client/update agent/installers or similar.
• Professional development experience using QNX/Embedded Linux or equivalent RTOS under real-time constraints.
• Good understanding of communication protocols such as UDS (ISO 14229-1), DoIP, OMA/DM, MQTT, Secure HTTP/FTP, CAN, Ethernet etc.,
• Experience in configuring and customizing open-source software such as cURL, TLS (OpenSSL/wolfSSL/boringSSL) etc
• Knowledge of tools such as: GitHub, , build systems like CMake or Bazel build and Conan
