DevOps Engineer

Port8 LTD is a young, dynamic software start-up from Mostar - Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, we are developing modern property technology SaaS applications for the Swiss company emonitor. Together we change the real estate industry with digital systems and make sure that every tenant finds the right apartment.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, who will play a crucial role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities:

Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and other containerization technologies.

CI/CD Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Flux and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment, ensuring the smooth delivery of software updates and releases.

Data Management: Experience with BigQuery and secrets manager, ensuring secure and efficient handling of sensitive information.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform and IaC principles to manage and maintain infrastructure efficiently.

Release and Security Management: Oversee the end-to-end release management process, ensuring security through dependency management, internal security audits, and compliance adherence.

Development Process Support: Actively support and maintain feature branch deployments and all CI/CD pipelines, fostering a streamlined development process.

Compliance and Monitoring: Implement and manage compliance standards, and maintain the tech stack for monitoring and alerting to ensure a robust and secure infrastructure.

Container Orchestration: Proficient in container orchestration for on-premise deployment, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of applications.

On-Premise Deployments: Collaborate with external clients to support on-premise deployments, providing technical expertise and assistance as needed.

Deployment Automation: Drive automation initiatives for deployment processes, optimizing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

Capacity Planning & Cost Optimization: Proactively manage capacity planning and cost optimization strategies to ensure efficient resource utilization.

Incident Management and SLA Compliance: Respond to incidents promptly, ensuring SLAs are maintained, and contribute to incident management and response strategies.

Backup and Recovery: Take ownership of backup management, and recovery procedures, and conduct quarterly testing of backup pipelines.

Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for external deployments, facilitating smooth knowledge transfer and ensuring a high level of transparency.

• Proven experience in a DevOps role, with a focus on GCP technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Flux, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and IaC.
• Excellent understanding of release management, security, compliance, and monitoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with internal teams Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
