Digital Asset Manager & Retoucher

POSITION Digital Asset Manager & Retoucher
REPORTS TO: Creative Project Manager
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (on-site)
Birdy Grey is looking for a Digital Asset Manager & Retoucher to support our Creative team. You will partner with the Creative Producer/Project Manager in creating and tracking photo retouching tasks, organizing and managing photo assets, communicating and managing timelines with external retouching teams, and retouching images as needed. This role requires a very detailed oriented person who can handle multiple projects at once and someone who has an eye for color.
Scope Of Responsibilities

• Manage all post production processes, procedures and outputs
• Running day-to-day management of post production external vendors and retouchers to communicate retouching needs, objectives, and timelines
• Collaborate with Creative Producer/Project Manager and Merchandising teams to schedule out asset hand off deadlines to align with product launches
• Attend PDP photo shoots and act as on-set color corrector
• Manage photo standards for file/image quality, SEO/marketing optimization, aspect ratios and naming conventions for all photo assets and files
• Create + manage tasks/assets in asset management programs-Asana, Dropbox
• Maintain consistent workflow/cohesiveness throughout projects
• Includes but not limited to transferring, renaming, & uploading to our database, and archiving non-relevant/outdated assets
• Retouching & editing assets up to quality standards such as product touch-ups, color corrections, background removal, lighting corrections, compositing shots, resizing/cropping, etc.
• Edit/retouch for one-off tasks such as skin editing/retouching, quick color corrections, expand image backgrounds, backdrop touch-ups, dress/apparel edits (wrinkles/stains/seams/straps), etc.
• Partner with Creative Producer/Project Manager in standardizing photo editing processes and best practices
• Partner with Creative Producer/Project Manager to manage assets in an efficient and timely manner that are on par with Birdy Grey's image quality standards

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university in Graphic Design, Photography, or related field
• 3+ years experience in professional retouching and photo asset management
• Management (People & Project) experience required
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, Bridge, and MS Office
• Experience with project management platforms such as Asana Monday, or JIRA
• Must have experience working with/for a fashion, apparel, beauty, jewelry, etc. company
• Photo production, management and organization skills required
• Highly detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and capable of working independently or in a team
• Ability to excel in a high volume workflow
• Local to LA area
