Within 1 month, you will: 

• Manage and track online story publishing frequency
• Set a monthly online publishing schedule 
• Attend all Outside Online channel meetings
• Manage Asana to keep online stories/cards on track
• Provide monthly traffic and other metric reports
• Run a weekly online stand-up meeting to make sure live dates are being hit
• Update the home page daily in consultation with Editorial Director 
• Have SEO experience and check all online stories for SEO elements before they go live
• Prep information and attend monthly traffic and metric alignment meetings

Within 6 months, you will: 

• Manage projects with sales team
• Manage TalentDesk
• Assign and edit some online stories pending expertise in certain topics
• Assign and edit an online column pending subject expertise
• Manage online editorial budgets
• Manage columnist contracts and payments
• Manage at least two direct reports
• Manage communication between other parts of the company and online coverage as needed

Within 12 months, you will: 

• Build the annual online editorial calendar
• Make sure we have content and landing pages for important monthly online themes
• Provide story selection for referral platforms
• Provide insights on improvements to our processes and site practices
• Remain open to a job that evolves in a fast-moving, online environment

What YOU bring to Outside: (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of Wordpress
• 10+ years of overall experience
• A strong SEO-optimization background
• An ability to juggle many tasks
• Expertise in home page site management
• Prior experience managing direct reports
• An ability to connect varying teams through good communication
• An ability to manage content budgets
• Knowledge of TalentDesk a bonus
• Strong organizational and story tracking skills
• A vision for how to evolve and improve management of the site
• A desire to collaborate with colleagues

Remote jobs and those jobs that can be located in Boulder, Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $80,000 to $100,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for this role, and may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
