Job Description
co:collective is a creative and strategic consultancy for purpose-led organizations. We help our clients put purpose into practice â not just defining what they stand for, but also infusing it into everything they do, inside and outside their organization. Not just because thatâs good for the world, but because itâs good for business too.
At co: we design brands, experiences, organizations, culture and content for companies to transform who they are, how they act, and how they show up in the world.
The role
Weâre looking for a Director of Growth and Marketing to continue to build our new business practice and oversee our marketing efforts. We're looking for someone with a proven track record in business development, a deep understanding of marketing dynamics, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. On the new business front, we need a confident, organized, and strategic leader who can work with our internal and external partners and teams to design, drive, and execute all proposal development for new business at co:collective. On the marketing front, we need this leader to continue to execute and evolve the existing marketing strategy and strategic initiatives to drive business growth. This is a high profile role within co:collective that will work closely with our leadership team as well as prospective and current senior clients.
What you'll do
New Business
- Lead the inbound and outbound proposal process to drive business development for co:collective, including collaborating with the Partners, Client Engagement Directors and Heads of Departments to design how we would work to solve the client ask, project timelines, project scope, etc.
- Manage multiple work streams at any given stage of the processÂ
- Develop topline 'get smart' documents for internal briefings, including the ability to harness information quickly and distill them to relevant, key insights that answer for the RFP
- Work with the executive team to execute on a strategic growth plan and ensure it is in line with the collectiveâs strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. strategy, design, content, operations, leadership, etc.)
- Work to actively manage co:âs business development pipeline and own management of our CRM system (Copper)
- Support Client Engagement Directors on the proposal team in development of statements of work
- Interface with senior client stakeholders to build a relationship and ensure a seamless process from first interaction to project awarded
- Facilitate the hand-off from ânew businessâ to âproject teamâ once the project is awarded, including collaborating on the development kick-off documents for the project teams and helping the Client Engagement Lead manage final paperwork, including MSAs, final scope adjustments, etc.
- Manage the growth database, assets, and help to promote knowledge sharing best practices: case studies, content, team bios, and actively propose better ways to organize co:collective assets to facilitate proposal development and marketing efforts
Marketing
- Oversee strategic initiatives to grow co:âs profile as a creative and strategy consultancy
- Develop and execute the co:collective content calendar and channel strategy, distributing content and thought leadership across LinkedIn, email and the co: websiteÂ
- Create content for each platform with design and copy support from broader co: team members as neededÂ
- Manage the co:collective LinkedIn account and outbound email efforts (monthly newsletters, ad hoc outbound emails)
- Work with our developer to keep the co:collective website updated with recent news and case studiesÂ
- Support the broader team on virtual (i.e. Zoom webinars) and in-person events
Who you are
- Youâre excited about working at the forefront of brand, creative and strategy in a consulting environment
- You are looking for a high profile, highly visibility role with massive impact on the organization
- You are a doer with the ability to manage and meet multiple, often competing deadlines, working in a fast-paced, high-volume collaborative environment
- You possess the ability to galvanize and motivate action: you work well with internal team members and your client partners at every level
- You love process, but also know how to handle whatever is thrown at you on the fly
- You have demonstrated an ability to think strategically and analytically about business, brand, and cultural challenges, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus
- You know how to juggle multiple things at once with a natural sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness
- You have an eye for all things detail orientation
What you've done
- Must have 7-12 years of experience in an agency, or consulting environmentÂ
- Proven track record of strong project management, from initial ask through execution on a wide variety of project types
- Strategic inclination that gives you ability to meaningfully contribute to proposal development
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively across internal and external organizations in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Experience with platforms for email marketing (Mailchimp), website management (Wordpress), paid social (LinkedIn, Google SEM), virtual events (Zoom Webinars), CRM/pipeline management software
- Advanced degree is a plus, but not required

With great work, comes great reward. We are a community of brilliant, ambitious, creative people committed to creating an ever evolving progressive work environment. In addition to a salary commensurate with your experience, our perks include generous vacation, performance-based bonuses, a generous parental leave policy, a one month sabbatical after five years of working with co:, 401k match and a dog friendly office!
We have a hybrid in-office culture. This role is based in New York and will require at least two days per week in the office (Tuesday's and Wednesday's).
Caring for our community
