The Role:
Mighty is looking to bring on an individual to assist our efforts in providing capital to our attorney, medical provider and funding partners. In this role, the Director will be responsible for assisting in the entire origination process for our litigation finance suite of services. You will work closely with our senior origination team to identify opportunities and develop products and solutions that will leverage mighty’s best in class technology and access to the capital markets. You will have the opportunity to cultivate a set of clients and build relationships. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is excited by the challenge of learning and building relationships. The role can be fully remote (US only) or in New York. Â
Your Mandate:
- Assist origination team in identifying lending opportunities with plaintiff law firms, medical providers and personal injury litigation funders.
- Prospect for new opportunities and follow up on a variety of referrals generated through our marketing efforts.Â
- Interview applicants to determine financing requirements and gather pertinent information.  Â
- Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information pertinent to applicant’s evaluation.Â
- Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loans or purchasing assets.  Â
- Resolves uncertainties relating to customer information through inquiries with applicants or creditors.Â
- Assists in the structure of loans and investments according to policy.Â
- Assist in the preparation of financing proposals
- Reviews loan or investment documentation prior to closing for completeness and acceptance by the applicant.
- Ensures timely closing and funding activities.Â
- Maintains a positive working relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.Â
- Participate in community and professional organizations and events. Â
- Uses experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Â
Your Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lending, investing or investment banking with a preference for existing experience within litigation finance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related area. Â
- Applicants should be able to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships, solve problems, and be able to deliver a high level of accuracy, focus and timeliness with limited supervision.Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs/Products.Â
- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit and financial documents as well as other legal documents as needed.Â
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities as well as an understanding of credit underwriting and loan documentation.

Onboarding Plan:
- In the first 30 days you will learn our business and how we work. You will familiarize yourself with the systems, existing processes and start to work on adding new clients. Â
- In the first 30-60 days you start to build out your prospect list. You will understand our value proposition and become familiar with making pitches, handling inbound inquiries and working the top end of our sales origination funnel. Â
- In the first 60-90 days you will have a fairly full prospect list and will begin moving deals towards closing and building your book of business. You will become comfortable with our underwriting criteria and the legal structures we are able to finance. You will establish a regular cadence of identifying new opportunities and following up on prospects in your funnel.

- A conversation with Hiring Manager to review/present case study and finalize technical knowledge assessment stressing insurance/industry expertise
