The Role
As the Director of Product Management, you will be critical in shaping our products' direction, development, and strategy. You will lead a global team of product managers and work closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding products that meet market needs and company goals. You'll own the product lifecycle with the Chief Information Officer, from crafting the vision and roadmap to guiding development, launching, and optimizing our app for maximum user engagement and growth.
Who You Are and What You’ll Do:
Vision & Strategic Leadership:
- Implement and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company's business vision and strategy. Oversee the entire lifecycle from conception to launch across our various product lines.
- Conduct and maintain market research - competitive analysis, trends, and user research - to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Develop and maintain team objectives and key results (OKRs) aligned to key performance indicators (KPIs) and organizational goals.
- Accountable for managing the Product’s P&L growth.
Team Management, Communication, and Collaboration:
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training product managers.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of geographically diverse product managers, setting clear goals and expectations while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and communication.
- Develop and maintain team-wide development and career growth plans, providing guidance and opportunities for professional growth.
- Build strong relationships with team members, fostering trust and transparency across the organization.
- Collaborate with customer success, finance, product marketing, and other departments to ensure a seamless user experience across all touchpoints.
Product Development, Execution, and Optimization:
- Communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives, and key results effectively to company stakeholders, including executives, investors, and partners.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure product development aligns with objectives and key results.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
- Champion user-centricity throughout the organization, ensuring user needs and data insights drive all decisions.
- Manage the product development process across teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features within budget and scope.
- Analyze financial performance, user data, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the app for engagement and retention.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years as a Director of Product Management.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling mobile app products while successfully managing the Product’s profit and loss growth.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with a willingness to adapt and embrace change.
- Experience managing and working with remote, geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
