The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. Metropolis' computer vision platform enables people to transact in the physical world with even greater ease than we experience online. Today, we are reimagining parking. Because it's important, it's everywhere, and impacts everyone – enabling millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out" – that's it. Tomorrow, we will power "checkout-free" experiences anywhere you go.

The Role

Metropolis is seeking a Director of Product Operations responsible for the rollout and adoption of the company's products and services, optimizing the operational aspects of product development and delivery, both internally and externally. As the Director of Product Operations your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth execution of product strategies, from conception to launch, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the centralized owner of a product release – Fostering strong relationships with product management, engineering, tech ops, design, marketing, operations, analytics, finance, and other relevant teams to ensure effective coordination and alignment throughout the pre and post product feature deployment
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure the successful and timely delivery of product releases.
  • Establish internal (operations) and external (marketing) adoption strategy for new and existing products or features – identify customer messaging by segment, cadence of messaging, and deployment schedule, implementation plan
  • Work cross-functionally to scope end-to-end needs for product rollouts – reporting functionality, finance processes, operations implementation, support FAQs, marketing / adoption strategy
  • Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact product development or delivery and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product operations, providing regular reports and analysis to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into product operations strategies
  • Own launch and management of new products and features
  • Create resources and launch plans for Central and Local Operations
  • Build strategy for driving internal (Central and Local Operations) adoption and usage of existing products and features
  • Defining and measuring the successful rollout of new product and features
  • Suggest product improvements
  • Work directly with sales team to understand, track, and communicate value of future needs/improvements to existing products to ensure adequate planning and execution can occur.
  • Document and maintain all policies and procedures related to the operation of a new/improved product or feature.

Success Criteria

Success in this role will be measured by achieving key performance indicators tied to business growth and product marketing objectives. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Product Development Lifecycle Efficiency: Continuous and measurable improvement in cross-departmental process and collaboration effectiveness. Identified opportunities for improvement and action plans.
  • Feature Release Quality: Clearly defined rollout timeline and project plan, effective milestone and release date planning and execution. Establish KPIs to determine the success of individual releases/features and measure success.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Timely and effective execution of product launches, launch management, and user adoption campaigns
  • Accelerated Feedback Loops: Improved speed and quality of feature launch metrics as measured by value to product management prioritization and post-launch feature impact

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management or product operations, preferably within a SaaS business model
  • Strong understanding of the B2B and B2C technology landscape, with demonstrated success leading rollout of technology products and services across a large network
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development process and success metrics
  • Experience in the parking industry, transportation, or related field is a plus
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $155,000.00 to 210,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
